Synochi Privacy Policy
Privacy policy

Your data stays on your phone.

Effective 1 October 2026Applies to the Synochi app for Android & iOS
The short version
Stored on your device

Your workouts, habits, weights, measurements and progress photos are saved only on your phone.

We don't collect it

We never receive your app data. There's no analytics, crash reporting or advertising in the app.

No account needed

You can use Synochi without signing up. If we add accounts, we'll update this policy first.

Who we are

Synochi is a wellbeing app for tracking workouts, habits, body progress and your calendar. It is made by Synochi, based in Nepal. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Synochi, and "you" means anyone who uses the app.

This policy explains what information the app handles, where it is kept and the choices you have.

What the app stores

To work, Synochi saves the information you enter. All of it is stored locally on your device, inside the app's private storage.

What we collect

Nothing. The information above never leaves your phone through Synochi. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.

  • We don't use analytics or usage tracking.
  • We don't use crash reporting tools.
  • We don't show ads or use advertising identifiers.
  • We don't sell, rent or share personal information, because we don't have any.

App stores such as the Apple App Store and Google Play may collect information when you download an app, under their own privacy policies. We don't receive personal information from them about you.

Phone permissions

Synochi only asks for access to your camera or photo library when you choose to add a progress photo. You can say no and still use every other part of the app. You can change these permissions at any time in your phone's settings.

Progress photos

Photos you add are saved inside Synochi on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere. They are only used to show your progress timeline and to compare two dates side by side.

Device backups

Your phone may include app data in its own backups, such as iCloud on iPhone or Google backup on Android, depending on your settings. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, not by Synochi. You can turn app backups on or off in your device settings.

Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your phone, you're in control of it.

  • Delete individual entries, habits or photos inside the app.
  • Uninstalling Synochi removes all of its data from your device.

We hold no copy, so we can't recover deleted data for you.

Future accounts

Signing up is not available yet. We plan to offer an optional account later for people who want to explore more features. Using Synochi without an account will stay possible.

Before accounts launch, we will update this policy to explain exactly what an account collects, why and where it is stored. Creating an account will always be your choice.

Health information

Weight, measurements and workouts can be personal. That's why Synochi keeps them on your device. Synochi is a personal tracking tool and is not a medical device. It doesn't give medical advice.

Children

Synochi is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, since the app doesn't send data to us.

This website

The Synochi website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them. Google handles that request under its own privacy policy.

Waitlist emails

The website has an optional form to join the Synochi waitlist. This is the only place where we collect personal information.

  • What we collect: your email address, whether you're interested in the Android beta, the iOS launch or both, and the date you signed up.
  • Why: to invite you to Android testing and to tell you when Synochi launches. We won't use it for anything else, and we never sell or share it.
  • Android testing: if you join the Android beta, we add your email to the tester list in Google Play Console so you can install the test version. Google handles that under its own terms.
  • Where it's kept: in a private Google Sheet that only we can access, stored on Google's servers.
  • How long: until Synochi has launched on the platforms you asked about, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.
  • Your choice: email us at any time to see, change or delete your entry, and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Synochi handles information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. For important changes, such as adding accounts, we'll also let you know in the app.
